Alguns poden tindre un origen que s&#8217;enfonsa en els segles. La gran majoria encara s\u00f3n peces fonamentals per al tr\u00e0nsit, a peu o en vehicles, de molts dels d&#8217;habitants i visitants de Sella. Ac\u00ed teniu alguns exemples:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pont de l&#8217;Alc\u00e0ntera<\/strong> (Barranc de l&#8217;Arc)<\/p>\n<p>Pel seu top\u00f2nim (Alc\u00e0ntera vol dir, en \u00e0rab, &#8220;el pont&#8221;), estem davant d&#8217;un dels ponts m\u00e9s antics de Sella. Hist\u00f2ricament formava part del cam\u00ed reial de Benimantell, que connectava Sella amb la vall de Guadalest pel Portet de l&#8217;Arc i amb Polop-Callosa i la costa d&#8217;Altea pel barranc de Gulapdar. Els masos del voltant mantenen el top\u00f2nim valenci\u00e0 (El Pont de la Carinya, El Pont de la Tia Clara). Cal pensar que quan sortia la Font de l&#8217;Arc, travessar el riu era una operaci\u00f3 molt costosa i de vegades impossible a causa del cabdal que podia portar el riu. En un moment indeterminat va ser ampliat, com pot veure&#8217;s des de baix, amb una segona volta en la qual encara s&#8217;aprecia la cimbra de cany\u00eds. Santamaria)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Pont de Les Voltes o de la Carretera<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El pont m\u00e9s important i de major envergadura \u00e9s tamb\u00e9 el pont m\u00e9s jove, encara que enguany acompleix un segle de vida. Amb l&#8217;acabament de la &#8220;Carretera de Villajoyosa al Barranco de la Batalla&#8221;, a la d\u00e8cades de 1910 i 1920 es va construir aquesta gran obra, juntament amb la carretera que donava acc\u00e9s a carruatges i vehicles a motor al nucli urb\u00e0 de Sella.
